Mopeds make me broke in many ways, but give me the inspiration to fix anything & blast it until it breaks down again.

Gotta have the space to wrench on dreams

I found a cheap garage listed on CL, and it's been my workshop in Milwaukee for awhile now. The Cave has hosted moped travelers that need a place to crash, or just ride loaners around when visiting during the summertime.

Even though I had a preference to wrenching on Puch engines, I've worked on a few Sachs, Minarelli, Tomos, Honda, Moby, and even an AMF roadmaster with the McCullough friction drive engine. All 2 stroke machines are very similar, and I'm grateful for the random knowledge of these different engine types. The nice thing about mopeds being lo-fi and janky, is that many parts of the engine and frame can be used with various mopeds of different brands.

I'm always experimenting with cylinder porting and trying out modifications. It's very difficult for me to be satisfied with my current builds, and this endlessly drives my skills as a moped tuner. I could always go faster...So, I set my goals within reason and moved on to the next level. I don't want to go faster than 50, it's just a moped.
